Singapore’s Music Festival, Mosaic, gives audiences a continuous 10 days music experience of different genres! The genres range from jazz, to blues, to hip-hop, to world music, to soul, to electroclash, basically, catering to people of all age groups, tastes and preferences! Talented musicians, be it from international or regional, professionals or up-and-coming artistes, will be featured during this festival!

How it all started...

The Mosaic Series, launched since 2003, aims to increase the intensity of the music presentation. By providing these performances, budding musicians are able to learn from these professionals at instrument master-classes. Also, as the music industry progresses, this annual festival is able to provide music fans with the latest updates and performances that are relevant to the current trends.



Mosaic Music Festival was only introduced to Singapore in the year 2005 by Esplanade. The performances are held both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor performances are held so that the people strolling along the Esplanade are able to catch a glimpse of the festival. Each year there are over 100 performances and those held outdoor, are free! They have also introduced a new segment – the 11th Hour, which aims to break the usual routine of people, get them out of their bed just an hour before midnight to enjoy music and experience more. Moreover, it is not just about the music. Esplanade also gives fans the opportunity to get to know more about the artistes and their personalities.



Past Mosaic Highlights!

Past Mosaic performances have always been held at the Esplanade around mid-March. It has showcased jazz quartet The Yellojackets with Mike Stern, British-based The Cinematic Orchestra, New York’s Naturally 7 (a gospel, jazz and soul septet), Christian McBride & Inside Straight, Breakestra, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, and many more. Visual arts installations were also featured throughout the event.
