These spheres can be found at wishing stations during the month of December. Each wishing sphere represents a brand new possibility in achieving individual goals as well as a higher opportunity ahead. On the eve of New Year, there will be performances by local celebrities to keep the crowd at Marina Bay entertained while waiting for the arrival of the New Year along with the spectacular fireworks. 2. The Float @ Marina Bay

The New Year Countdown party will be held at The Float @ Marina Bay. Get captivated by local and international celebrities such as Taiwan talented quartet, Da Mouth, with their unique style of hip-hop music; the winner of Singapore Idol 2009, Seziari Sezali; and many popular Mediacorp artists such as Nat Ho, Adrian Pang, and Michelle Chia. There will also be many more fun-filled activities lined up to entertain you throughout the whole night. So come down and join us at the party. 3. Singapore Flyer

Welcome the New Year at the world’s largest observation wheel where you are able to enjoy a close up view of the spectacular fireworks when you are on board the capsules. The fireworks will start at midnight on 1 January.

4. Vivo City

Welcome the New Year at Vivo City - the largest retail and lifestyle destination in Singapore. The celebration will be held at the rooftop amphitheatre where there will be spectacular performances by local celebrities. The first countdown in Vivo City was held in 2006 where Singaporeans and foreigners ushered in the year 2007. Ever since then, Vivo City has served as the official venue for the live telecast of the countdown instead of the usual location, Sentosa.
